DHS Kristi Noem blasts Country singer Zach Bryan for anti ICE Bad News song

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has strongly criticized country music superstar Zach Bryan for his controversial new song “Bad News,” which takes aim at ICE raids. Noem expressed her disappointment and disheartenment after listening to the demo of the song, stating that it was disrespectful not only to law enforcement but also to the country as a whole.

In the song, Bryan sings about the protagonist facing struggles in life, surrounded by degenerate friends, and mentions law enforcement agencies like ICE coming to bust down doors. The lyrics touch on the fading of the red, white, and blue, painting a bleak picture of the current state of the nation.

Noem, who overlooks a US ICE facility in Portland, Oregon, went on to criticize Bryan for compromising the efforts of those who have fought for the country’s freedoms by releasing such a song. She made it clear that she was never a fan of Bryan, even before hearing the controversial track.

The former South Dakota governor praised other country singers like Jason Aldean, John Rich, Jon Pardi, and Kid Rock for their support of freedom and expressed relief that she had not spent any money on Zach Bryan. Noem also pointed out the apparent hypocrisy of Bryan releasing an anti-law enforcement song while relying on police protection at his concerts.

In response to the backlash, Bryan defended his song, stating that it is a reflection of his love for the country and all its people. He emphasized that the full context of the song addresses both sides of the political aisle and called for unity in a time of division.

Despite the controversy surrounding “Bad News,” Bryan made it clear that he is not aligned with any radical sides and expressed his pride in serving a country where freedom of speech is upheld. He acknowledged the challenges of facing scrutiny and criticism in the public eye but remained committed to doing his best and navigating the complexities of a divided society.
