Files to Dismiss Dawn Richard’s Lawsuit on Same Day She Testifies

Diddy has taken legal action to dismiss the civil suit brought against him by Dawn Richard, labeling her allegations as completely false. This move comes on the same day that Richard testified against him in his criminal trial.

On Friday, Diddy’s legal team filed documents outlining various reasons why Dawn’s lawsuit should be dismissed, citing issues such as statute of limitations and improper claims.

In the legal documents, Diddy’s attorneys suggest that Richard is attempting to exploit negative publicity surrounding Diddy for financial gain, alleging that she is trying to turn alleged personal grievances into a sensationalized sex trafficking conspiracy.

Interestingly, the dismissal filing coincided with Dawn Richard’s appearance as a witness in Diddy’s federal sex trafficking trial. Richard made a statement in court, dressed sharply in a checkered blazer with a nose piercing.

During her testimony, Richard alleged witnessing Diddy’s violent behavior towards Cassie, recounting a specific incident from 2009 where she claimed Diddy tried to strike Cassie with a skillet.

She also claimed that Diddy instructed her and a bandmate to remain silent about the incident, locking the door during their conversation. Richard further stated that Diddy attempted to reconcile by offering them flowers.

As the trial progresses into its second week, Dawn Richard is expected to testify again on Monday. Meanwhile, Diddy’s ex, Cassie, has concluded her testimony and is focused on welcoming her third child with Alex Fine.

In September, Richard filed a lawsuit against Diddy, alleging that he had sexually harassed, intimidated, and degraded her during their time working together on “Making the Band.”

Diddy’s legal team previously refuted Richard’s claims, stating that she was fabricating falsehoods in an attempt to secure monetary compensation. They pointed out that if Richard’s experience on “Making the Band” was as negative as she claimed, she would not have agreed to enter into another contract with Diddy later on.
