Disneyland, which opened its doors on July 17, 1955, was built on former orange groves in Anaheim, just outside Los Angeles. Despite a rough start on its first day, where attractions broke down and logistical issues abounded, Disneyland quickly became a beloved destination for families.

Today, Disneyland ranks as the world’s second-most visited theme park, drawing over 17 million visitors in 2023. The park has bounced back from a 13-month closure during the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to enchant guests with its iconic rides and attractions.
