Donald Trump Says ‘Yes King March’ Celebrated George Santos
James Austin Johnson’s portrayal of Donald Trump made a surprise appearance on the popular podcast “Snack Homiez” during the episode hosted by Sabrina Carpenter on “Saturday Night Live” on October 18th.
During the podcast, the young male co-hosts, played by Carpenter, Chloe Fineman, Jane Wickline, and Veronika Slowikowska, asked Trump for his thoughts on Airheads candy. True to form, Trump went off on a tangent, mentioning the day’s “No Kings” protests and his recent decision to release George Santos from prison.
Trump expressed his admiration for Santos, calling him “weird” and a “liar,” but also claiming he didn’t know him at all. He described the protests in support of Santos as a “Yes, King!” march, where people were celebrating his release.
Interestingly, Trump did not appear in the show’s usual cold open, which was delayed by 14 minutes due to a college football game running long. Instead, the episode kicked off with a repeat of the popular sketch “Domingo” rather than a political cold open.
The mention of Santos continued during the Weekend Update segment, with Colin Jost joking about Trump finally releasing Santos, a former Republican congressman who pleaded guilty to fraud and “aggravated identity theft.”
