Dyson’s Slim PencilWash Wet Floor Cleaner Launches Soon

Dyson has recently unveiled a new addition to its lineup of cleaning devices – the PencilWash wet floor cleaner. Set to launch on March 4th in the UK for £299.99 and on March 14th in the US for $349, the PencilWash is a slim and lightweight solution for keeping your floors clean and spotless.

Weighing in at just 2.2kg (4.85lbs), the PencilWash features a Hyperdymium motor and a high-density microfibre roller that effectively cleans wet floors without the risk of clogging. Unlike traditional wet vacuums, the PencilWash doesn’t draw up water or debris through the handle. Instead, it has a 300ml clean water reservoir in the base and a separate tank for collecting dirty water and debris, making it easy to empty and clean.

One of the standout features of the PencilWash is its maneuverability. With a slim 38mm handle and the ability to lie almost flat at 170 degrees, this device can easily reach under furniture and into tight spaces that traditional wet vacuums struggle to access. It also offers two hydration modes for quick-drying floors, ensuring a thorough and efficient cleaning experience.

Powered by Dyson’s compact Hyperdymium motor, the PencilWash is designed to cover up to 100m² of flooring on a single charge. Additionally, the removable battery allows for extended cleaning sessions without interruption, making it ideal for larger cleaning tasks.

As someone who has tested numerous wet vacuums, I understand the importance of weight and maneuverability in a cleaning device. The PencilWash addresses these issues by providing a lightweight and agile solution that is perfect for apartments or smaller homes. Its compact design and ease of use make it a promising option for those looking for a convenient and effective wet floor cleaner.

I am eager to put the PencilWash to the test and see how it performs in real-world cleaning scenarios. Stay tuned for my upcoming review to learn more about this innovative new addition to Dyson’s cleaning arsenal.
