Elisabeth Moss to Star in Hulu Series ‘Conviction’ From David Shore
Hulu has officially greenlit a series adaptation of Jack Jordan’s novel “Conviction,” with the talented Elisabeth Moss set to star in the lead role. Moss, known for her award-winning performance in “The Handmaid’s Tale,” will also executive produce the series under her Love & Squalor Pictures banner.
The story follows criminal defense attorney Neve Harper, played by Moss, as she takes on a career-defining case involving a high-profile murder. As Neve navigates the complexities of the case, she finds herself entangled in a web of blackmail, forcing her to make difficult choices that could jeopardize everything she holds dear.
David Shore, the mastermind behind shows like “House” and “The Good Doctor,” is on board to adapt the novel for television and will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Joining him as executive producers are Warren Littlefield, Ann Johnson, Lisa Harrison, and Erin Gunn.
Moss, a seven-time Emmy nominee, has proven her acting prowess time and time again, with acclaimed performances in “Mad Men” and “Top of the Lake.” In addition to her role in “Conviction,” Moss will also be seen in the upcoming Apple TV series “Imperfect Women” alongside Kerry Washington and Kate Mara.
On the other hand, Jack Jordan is not only the author of “Conviction” but is also working on developing a series based on his novel “Deception” with 20th TV. His collaboration with Disney Entertainment’s International Originals EMEA team on the adaptation of “Redemption” further showcases his talent for captivating storytelling.
As fans eagerly await the premiere of “Conviction” on Hulu, it’s clear that the combination of Moss’s captivating performance, Shore’s storytelling prowess, and Jordan’s compelling source material is a recipe for success. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new series.
