ESPN and Words + Pictures Partner for Six-Part Nick Saban Docuseries

ESPN and Words + Pictures have recently announced the upcoming release of a six-part docuseries titled “Saban,” which delves into the life and career of legendary football coach Nick Saban. The series will provide an in-depth look at Saban’s remarkable journey, with a particular focus on his 17 seasons at the University of Alabama, where he led the team to an impressive six national titles and solidified the Crimson Tide as a powerhouse in college football.

In a statement, Nick Saban expressed his excitement for the project, stating, “With my coaching days behind me, Ms. Terry and I have been reflecting on our experiences and felt that the time was right to share our story. The team at Words + Pictures has encouraged me to not only look back on my time at Alabama but also reflect on my entire coaching career, exploring the processes that led to our success. The docuseries is being directed by Russell Dinallo, with Connor Schell, Libby Geist, Aaron Cohen, Alexa Conway, and Tom Rinaldi serving as producers under Words + Pictures. Gabe Honig is onboard as the showrunner and co-executive producer of the project.
