Ex-NFL player Jay Graham arrested in prostitution sting after allegedly paying to have sex with teen girl

A shocking incident has rocked the Tennessee high school football community as former NFL player turned coach, Jay Graham, was arrested in a prostitution sting. The 50-year-old coach allegedly paid for sex with someone he believed to be a 16-year-old girl.

Graham, who had a successful career as a running back in the NFL, fell into the trap of a fake adult escort website. Despite being informed that the person he was communicating with was underage, he agreed to pay $120 for sexual services. Little did he know, the individual he thought was a minor was actually an undercover police officer.

Upon arriving at a Nashville hotel and handing over the cash, Graham was promptly taken into custody by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. He now faces charges of patronizing prostitution with a minor and solicitation of a minor for aggravated statutory rape. His bond has been set at $45,000.

Graham’s football career saw him excel at the University of Tennessee and later in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens, Seattle Seahawks, and Green Bay Packers. After retiring from professional football, he transitioned to coaching, winning a national title with Florida State University in 2013.

Despite his coaching success, Graham’s career took a dark turn when he stepped away from his role as the running backs coach at Tennessee due to mental health reasons. He later joined Centennial High School in Franklin as a coach before his recent arrest.

Following the shocking revelations, Williamson County Schools district swiftly terminated Graham from his coaching position and barred him from school premises. However, he has only been suspended from his teaching role as the district follows a different process for terminating teachers.

The district spokesperson reassured Centennial families that there is no cause for concern regarding the safety of students at the school. In addition to Graham, two other individuals were arrested in the prostitution sting and are facing similar charges.
