FBI announces $50K bounty on masked protester who assaulted officer during LA anti-ICE riots

The FBI has announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a violent masked rioter who attacked a federal officer during the recent anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles. The suspect, who remains unidentified, threw rocks at law enforcement vehicles on Alondra Boulevard in Paramount over the weekend, causing injury to an officer and damaging an FBI vehicle.

Photos released by the FBI show the suspect wearing a motorcycle helmet and sunglasses, as well as a cap and face mask to conceal his identity during the demonstration. The agency is urging anyone with information about the suspect to come forward and help in his arrest and conviction.

The protests in Los Angeles were sparked by President Trump’s immigration policies, leading to chaos in the city. Trump responded by deploying 2,000 National Guard troops to federal buildings in downtown LA, where ICE officials were detaining immigrants for deportation. The president also called for the arrest of all rioters wearing face masks as tensions escalated and spread to San Francisco.

In San Francisco, riots also turned violent as protesters clashed with police in riot gear, armed with hammers and cinder blocks. Two officers were injured in the city’s financial district, and around 60 people were arrested for their involvement in the violent protests. San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie emphasized the importance of peaceful protest while condemning the violent and destructive behavior that took place during the demonstrations.

The LAPD’s Chief of Police, Jim McDonnell, expressed concern over the overwhelming nature of the protests, as rioters engaged in violent acts against law enforcement officers. The FBI and local authorities are working diligently to identify and apprehend the masked rioter responsible for assaulting the federal officer in Los Angeles.
