FBI discovers cache of guns, armor and Nazi paraphernalia while raiding home
Law enforcement officials in Washington state made a shocking discovery during a recent raid on a home in Thurston County. According to Sheriff Derek Sanders, a cache of weaponry and armor, including a machine gun and grenade launchers, was found along with Nazi paraphernalia.
The raid was conducted by a FBI special weapons and tactics team in Lacey, near the state capital of Olympia, following a violent robbery and theft of military weaponry and armor. The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division had requested assistance from the sheriff’s office in executing a search warrant related to an assault at Joint Base Lewis-McCord.
Two individuals were arrested and booked into Thurston County Jail on firearms-related offenses. Sheriff Sanders revealed that the suspects were actively involved in Nazi White Nationalist efforts, further highlighting the disturbing nature of the investigation.
The FBI’s Seattle office confirmed their involvement in assisting the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office and Army CID with the case. A federal criminal complaint is expected to be unsealed on Wednesday, with the suspects making their initial appearances in U.S. District Court in Tacoma.
During the raid, authorities seized 35 firearms, including an MG42 machine gun, grenade launchers, explosives, body armor, ammunition, and ballistic helmets. The residence was reportedly stocked with multiple rifles positioned at windows, indicating a potentially dangerous situation.
Photos from the raid showed a collection of weapons, ammunition, and body armor surrounded by Nazi paraphernalia, including a red Nazi flag with a black swastika. The disturbing imagery further underscored the seriousness of the investigation and the potential threat posed by the individuals involved.
