First residential phase begins at Denver’s Link 56 mixed-use district
Exciting New Mixed-Use Development Underway in Northeast Denver
A vibrant mixed-use district in northeast Denver is currently taking shape, with construction officially commencing on Stellar at Link 56, the inaugural residential phase of the development.
Colorado-based Livmark Communities and national real estate firm Kensington Development Partners are spearheading the project, which will introduce 214 residential units spread across 13 buildings. These units will feature a mix of two- and three-story garden-style walk-up apartments as well as two-story “carriage house” townhomes.
Residents of Stellar at Link 56 will have access to an array of amenities including a resort-style pool, fitness room, yoga studio, sauna, golf simulator, outdoor grilling areas, fire pits, and even a dog spa.
The development is conveniently located within a 15 to 20 minute walk from the 61st & Peña light rail station. Additionally, it is adjacent to a future Target store spanning 150,799 square feet, along with numerous planned retail and dining options.
Stellar at Link 56 represents the initial residential phase of the broader Link 56 master-planned community. Upon completion, the entire community is projected to feature about 1,900 residential units, 250,000 square feet of commercial development, and 27 acres of parks and open space.
Chris Beabout, Managing Partner at Livmark Communities, expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating, “Stellar at Link 56 represents exactly the kind of community we believe Denver needs more of — thoughtfully designed homes within walking distance of nature, transit, and everyday conveniences.”
Kensington Development, in collaboration with UK-based IM Properties, acquired the 150-acre parcel of land last year at the corner of 56th Avenue and Tower Road. The estimated investment for phase one of Link 56 stands at $235 million.
The development aligns with the area’s expanding employment opportunities, anchored by prominent companies such as United Airlines, Microsoft, Panasonic, Pepsi, Amazon, and Denver International Airport.
Landmark Homes, a reputable homebuilder with over 20 years of experience in constructing over 2,000 condos and townhomes in Colorado, established Livmark Communities. Meanwhile, Kensington Development, established in 2017, specializes in acquiring, developing, and redeveloping retail and mixed-use projects across the United States.
