Flight attendant, 25, stabbed to death at 5-star Dubai hotel

A tragic incident unfolded at a luxurious 5-star hotel in Dubai, where a flight attendant was brutally stabbed to death with a pair of scissors by her jealous ex-husband. The victim, identified as 25-year-old Anastasia, worked for Russian airline Pobeda and was found with at least 15 stab wounds at the Voco Bonnington hotel.

The suspect, 41-year-old Albert Morgan, a legal consultant, was arrested upon his arrival in St. Petersburg after fleeing the scene. It was revealed that Morgan had been stalking Anastasia in Dubai, suspecting her of working as a high-end escort during their marriage. He gained access to her hotel room by posing as a guest and wearing a stolen hotel robe, ultimately leading to the fatal confrontation.

Initially planning to humiliate Anastasia by dousing her in green paint and cutting off her hair, the situation escalated into a violent altercation resulting in her death. The couple had been married for two years before separating, and Morgan had traveled over 2,700 miles with an accomplice to confront the victim.

Dubai police identified Morgan through security footage and alerted Russian authorities, leading to his arrest upon his return. Despite his request to be sent to fight for Russia in the Ukraine conflict as a means to avoid prison time, a judge ordered his detention for further investigation.

Morgan, who had changed his name to match a US banking dynasty after serving time for drug charges, had a history of domestic disputes with Anastasia. She had previously withdrawn complaints against him, highlighting the complex and troubled relationship between the two.

The tragic loss of Anastasia serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence and the devastating consequences that can arise from jealousy and possessiveness. The investigation into this heinous crime continues as authorities seek justice for the victim and her loved ones.
