Florida good Samaritans rescue mom, children from attempted kidnapper Yanni Human

A group of brave individuals are being hailed as heroes after coming to the rescue of a woman and two small children in a potentially dangerous situation outside a Department of Motor Vehicles office in Jacksonville, Florida.
The incident occurred on March 12 in the parking lot of the DMV on North Main Street. Witnesses reported seeing a man trying to drive away in an SUV while a woman attempted to remove her two young children, aged 2 years old and 6 months old, from the back seat.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO), the man, later identified as 26-year-old Yanni Human, was driving off against the woman’s will, dragging her and one of the children through the parking lot.
In a remarkable display of courage, more than a dozen Good Samaritans stepped in to help. They rushed to the scene and managed to pull the woman and children to safety as the vehicle continued moving.
The man fled the scene, but witnesses provided a detailed description and the SUV’s license plate number to 911 dispatchers. JSO’s District 6 Task Force officers used this information, along with surveillance footage, to locate and arrest Human later that day at a nearby shopping center.
Yanni Human now faces multiple felony charges, including child abuse, false imprisonment, battery, marijuana possession, and resisting an officer without violence.
Authorities commend the quick thinking and bravery of the bystanders for preventing a potential tragedy. The Sheriff’s Office is grateful for the actions of the Good Samaritans who helped bring the suspect to justice.
While the names of those who intervened have not been released, their actions have garnered praise from the community. The Jacksonville County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
The quick response and selfless actions of these individuals serve as a reminder of the importance of looking out for one another in times of need.
