Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao Set Rematch Live on Netflix
Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao to Face Off in Highly Anticipated Rematch
Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. and Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao are set to reignite their rivalry in a professional boxing match on September 19, 2026. The bout will take place at The Sphere in Las Vegas and will be streamed live on Netflix, marking a significant moment in the history of both fighters. This rematch comes more than a decade after their historic encounter in 2015, where Mayweather emerged victorious via unanimous decision.
Since their first showdown, Pacquiao has continued to compete actively in the ring, participating in eight fights and most recently facing Mario Barrios to a majority draw in July 2025. On the other hand, Mayweather has been absent from professional boxing since his TKO victory over Conor McGregor in 2017. However, he has engaged in various exhibition matches against opponents like Logan Paul and John Gotti III in the interim period.
The details of the undercard fights for the event will be revealed at a later date. The rematch is being organized and produced by EverWonder Studio, Hidden Empire Film Group, and Limitless X Holdings, with Manny Pacquiao Promotions and Mayweather Promotions leading the promotion in collaboration with CSI Sports/Fight Sports.
Pacquiao expressed his enthusiasm for the rematch, stating, “The fans have waited long enough—they deserve this rematch, and it will be even bigger now that it will be streamed live globally on Netflix. I want Floyd to live with the one loss on his professional record and always remember who gave it to him.” Mayweather, on the other hand, confidently remarked, “I already fought and beat Manny once. This time will be the same result.”
The first Mayweather vs. Pacquiao bout was a record-breaking event in boxing history, garnering 4.6 million pay-per-view buys and setting a world-record live gate of $72 million at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Netflix, known for its diverse streaming content, has been increasingly venturing into live sports broadcasts. Following the success of events like Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson, Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano, and Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford, the platform will now showcase the highly anticipated Mayweather vs. Pacquiao rematch. Moreover, Netflix is expanding its sports offerings to include MMA, with upcoming fights like Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano and Tyson Fury vs. Arslanbek Makhmudov.
