Ford Recalls Over 200,000 Bronco and Bronco Sport Vehicles Due to Instrument Panel Issue
WASHINGTON (AP) — In a recent announcement, Ford Motor Co. revealed that they are recalling more than 200,000 Bronco and Bronco Sport vehicles due to a potential instrument panel failure that could increase the risk of a crash.
Federal auto safety regulators have highlighted that the instrument panel may not display critical safety information at startup, posing a safety concern for drivers.
The recall affects a total of 128,607 Ford Bronco Sports (model years 2025-2026) and 101,002 Ford Broncos (model years 2025-2026), as reported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Fortunately, Ford has stated that there have been no reported injuries caused by the instrument panel failure thus far.
Owners of the affected vehicles will receive notification by mail starting on Dec. 8, with instructions to visit a Ford or Lincoln dealership for a software update to rectify the issue.
If you own one of the impacted vehicles, be sure to take action promptly to address the recall. The NHTSA recall number for this issue is 25V540.
