Ford recalls nearly 230,000 U.S. vehicles over instrument panel display failure

Ford Motor Company has issued a recall for nearly 230,000 vehicles, citing a software flaw in the instrument panel display that could potentially prevent critical information such as warning lights and vehicle speed from appearing. The recall specifically pertains to 2025-2026 Bronco and Bronco Sport vehicles, as stated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in a notice released on Nov. 18. It is believed that all affected vehicles contain this defect.

According to NHTSA, Ford will address the issue with a software update, which can be administered at no cost either at a dealership or through a wireless over-the-air update. As of Nov. 7, 2025, Ford has been made aware of 12 warranty claims that may be linked to the display problem, based on documents from NHTSA.

Owners of the affected vehicles are encouraged to reach out to Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. The recall number assigned by the car manufacturer is 25SC3.

This latest recall comes on the heels of Ford recalling 740,000 vehicles just last month due to issues with camera displays, steering, and seatbelts. In the past year, Ford has issued several recalls related to faulty rearview cameras.

In conclusion, it is crucial for owners of the 2025-2026 Bronco and Bronco Sport vehicles to take immediate action and have the software update installed to ensure the safety and functionality of their vehicles. Ford remains committed to addressing any potential issues promptly and efficiently to uphold the safety of its customers.
