Ford recalls some 119,000 vehicles due to engine block heater fire risk, NHTSA says

Ford is currently working on developing a new block heater element, and once it is ready, customers can visit a Ford dealer to receive a free replacement. Alternatively, owners can opt to have the block heater removed and a threaded plug installed at a Ford dealer, with this service provided free of charge.
