Keith passed away on Tuesday morning in San Leandro, CA, as confirmed by his son, Keith Browner Jr.
The sudden and unexpected passing of Keith has shocked his family, although the exact cause of death is yet to be determined, it is suspected to be a heart attack.
According to Keith Jr., his father had complained of stomach issues and fatigue on Monday night, intending to seek medical help on Tuesday morning. Tragically, he collapsed at home before he could make it to the hospital.
Keith rose to fame as a defensive player for USC in the 1980s before being drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 1984 NFL Draft. He played for various teams during his 5-year NFL career, showcasing his talent as a linebacker and defensive end.
His legacy lives on through his son, Keith Browner Jr., who followed in his father’s footsteps by playing college football and making a mark in the NFL with the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears.
Keith is survived by his five children, Keith Jr., Keicha, Amber, Ashley, and Jordan.
