Fox Nation Teams Up with Hulk Hogan for Real American Freestyle
Fox Nation has recently secured an exclusive broadcast partnership with Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, and Chad Bronstein’s Real American Freestyle (RAF), marking their second foray into live sports coverage. The announcement was made by Fox Nation President Lauren Petterson, who expressed excitement about the collaboration with the RAF team.
The partnership will see Fox Nation airing the inaugural match, RAF01, scheduled to take place on August 30 at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland. Furthermore, Fox Nation has also acquired the broadcast rights for a second event set to happen later this fall, with details to be revealed at a later date.
Real American Freestyle, spearheaded by Hogan, Bischoff, Bronstein, and Izzy Martinez, aims to revolutionize amateur-style wrestling by professionalizing the sport. To provide expert analysis during RAF01, the event has enlisted the services of wrestler and Olympian Kurt Angle, former MMA champion Chael Sonnen, and MMA world champion Bubba Jenkins as commentators.
In a statement, Hogan expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership with Fox Nation, highlighting the network’s alignment with the RAF brand and their shared vision for the future of wrestling. Bischoff echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the importance of having the right broadcast partner to deliver an exceptional experience for fans.
RAF’s collaboration with UFC, USA Wrestling, NIL organizations, and the NCAA allows both emerging and established athletes to compete in the sport. Additionally, proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Cleveland State University to support academic and athletic initiatives for students.
The first matches for RAF01 will feature exciting matchups such as Bo Nickal vs. Jacob Cardenas, Yianni Diakomihalis vs. Bajrang Punia, and Darrion Caldwell vs. Real Woods, among others.
