Fox News Host Delivers Harsh Truth On How Much Trump Economic Plan ‘Sucks’

During a recent segment on “The Five,” Harold Ford Jr. from Fox News delivered a stark assessment of the current state of the American economy under President Donald Trump’s second term. Ford bluntly stated, “Here’s the reality. Your plan is not working so far.”

When co-host Greg Gutfeld mentioned that inflation seems to be stabilizing after peaking at nearly 10% under former President Joe Biden, Ford countered by highlighting the struggles of everyday Americans. He emphasized, “People can’t afford beef, bananas, insurance, or healthcare.”

As a former Democratic congressman from Tennessee, Ford emphasized that the most pressing issue in politics is how it impacts voters’ financial well-being.

Ford criticized Trump and the GOP for solely blaming Biden, calling it “nonsensical.” He specifically pointed out the negative effects of Trump’s tariffs on imported goods and warned that if the results of the president’s economic policies do not improve soon, it could spell trouble for Republicans in the 2026 midterms.

After a heated exchange with co-host Jesse Watters, Ford concluded, “The current plan is ineffective. It is not yielding results.”
