Fremantle Appoints Ben Crompton as Global Head of Entertainment
Fremantle, a leading entertainment company, has announced the appointment of Ben Crompton as its new global head of entertainment. Crompton, a seasoned format expert, will be stepping into this senior leadership role later this month and will report directly to global CEO Jennifer Mullin.
Crompton will be taking over from Andrew Llinares, who is stepping down from his position. With a wealth of experience in the industry, Crompton joins Fremantle from NBCUniversal, where he served as vice president, international unscripted. During his time at NBCUniversal, he led the development of formats, intellectual property, and third-party projects, collaborating with international producers and talent.
Prior to his role at NBCUniversal, Crompton was instrumental in launching and leading Lime Pictures’ U.S. operation. As executive vice president U.S., he was responsible for delivering successful shows such as Netflix’s “Dance Monsters,” MTV’s “True Love or True Lies,” E!’s “Dating No Filter,” and ABC’s “Who Do You Believe?” Crompton has also held senior creative and strategic positions at Warner Brothers in Australia, Eyeworks, and ITV Studios in the U.K.
