Gavin Newsom Says Stephen Miller, Not Kristi Noem, Is ‘The Dark Heart Of This Administration’

California Governor Gavin Newsom suggested an interesting theory on Thursday regarding the removal of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. He claimed that President Donald Trump fired her to protect White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, whom he believes is the true “dark heart” of the administration.

Newsom, who is currently promoting his new memoir, “Young Man in a Hurry,” made these remarks during a speaking engagement in New Hampshire with progressive influencer Jack Cocchiarella. He emphasized that Noem was simply a scapegoat and that Miller was the driving force behind her actions.

According to Newsom, “The dark heart of this administration is not Noem, it’s Stephen Miller, and he needs to be next. And it’s really true. In so many ways, she’s just a scapegoat in all this.”

He went on to say, “Everything she was doing was designed by Miller. And I don’t think it, I know it.”

Trump has announced that Noem will be taking on a new role as “special envoy for the Shield of the Americas,” and Senator Markwayne Mullin has been nominated as her replacement.

Noem’s dismissal followed a contentious hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, where she failed to retract or apologize for her controversial statements regarding a fatal incident involving federal immigration agents.

Newsom’s criticism of Trump and Miller’s influence has fueled speculation about a potential presidential run in 2028. He has been vocal about his opposition to Trump’s policies and actions.
