Google Pixel 10 Colour Options: Is Google Missing a Trick?

The excitement for the upcoming Pixel 10 launch is palpable, despite the plethora of leaks that have surfaced. Google’s next flagship phones promise to be a significant upgrade, with features like built-in magnetic Qi2 charging and various enhancements across the board. While the design may not stray far from the Pixel 9, the introduction of five new color options is a refreshing change.

Among the array of colors available for the Pixel 10 lineup, one hue stands out as a potential fan favorite – Indigo. This particular shade has garnered a lot of attention and praise on social media in the lead-up to the launch event. Its popularity can be attributed to its trendy appeal, following the footsteps of other popular blue hues in the market like the Ultramarine iPhone 16 and Blue Shadow of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7.

For long-time Pixel enthusiasts, Indigo holds a special significance as it pays homage to the beloved ‘Really Blue’ color that was a hit in the original Pixel lineup back in 2016. While ‘Really Blue’ was initially a US-exclusive, Google later launched it as a limited edition in the UK, leaving a lasting impression on fans.

However, there’s a catch – Indigo is only available on the entry-level regular Pixel 10 model. Those opting for the Pro models may find themselves limited to a more subdued color palette reminiscent of the iPhone 16 Pro models. Nevertheless, the Jade green option offers a touch of fun for those considering the Pixel 10 Pro. Additionally, the Moonstone and Jade colors take center stage this year for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold variant, alongside classic options like Obsidian and Porcelain.

While renderings can sometimes be deceiving, Indigo is poised to be a standout choice for many consumers this year. With added features like a telephoto camera, Qi2 charging, and a price point that remains unchanged from the previous year, the Pixel 10 in Indigo may just be the winning combination for tech enthusiasts. As we eagerly await the official unveiling at the Made by Google event on August 20th, the choice of color will undoubtedly be a key factor in the decision-making process for prospective buyers.
