Google Search Live Brings Gemini Camera and Screen sharing to Search and iOS

Google is revolutionizing the way we interact with our smartphones with the introduction of Gemini Live featuring camera and screen sharing capabilities. The tech giant made a major announcement at its recent I/O event, unveiling the expansion of Gemini Live to include camera viewfinder sharing through its powerful AI tool.

Starting today, iOS users can access Gemini Live with camera and screen sharing for free on the Gemini app. Previously only available to Android users on select devices, such as the Pixel 9 and Galaxy S25, this feature is now accessible to a wider audience.

One of the most exciting developments is the integration of Gemini Live into Google Search through the new AI Mode. Known as Search Live, this feature allows users to point their phone’s camera at an object and receive real-time interactive information about it. For example, a student could point their camera at a project involving a bridge made of lolly pop sticks and ask for ways to make it stronger. Gemini would then provide practical and accurate recommendations in a conversational manner.

Later this summer, users can access Search Live by tapping on a new ‘Live’ icon in AI Mode and Google Lens, enabling them to engage in live searches using natural language queries. This feature will initially be available to Google Labs users through a beta version.

In addition to the exciting updates to Gemini Live, Google has introduced a range of innovative features at I/O 2025. These include a fresh new look for Android 16, advancements in smart glasses technology, and powerful real-time translation capabilities. The company is also exploring ways to enhance email functionality, demonstrating the endless possibilities of AI technology.

With Google leading the way in innovation, the future of smartphone technology looks more promising than ever. Stay tuned for more updates as Google continues to push the boundaries of what is possible with AI.
