Manhattan Subway Rider Slashed Over Alleged Staring Incident
In a disturbing incident on a Manhattan subway train, a 23-year-old man was attacked by another straphanger after allegedly staring at him, according to authorities. The incident took place on an uptown 2 train in Harlem around 12:30 a.m.
The suspect, described as a man with a dark complexion standing at 6 feet tall, accused the victim of disrespectfully staring at him, leading to a heated argument between the two individuals.
As the train arrived at the West 135 Street station, the altercation escalated, and both men disembarked from the train to continue their confrontation on the platform.

During the altercation on the platform, the suspect viciously slashed the victim’s ear before fleeing on a northbound 2 train, evading capture. The injured man was promptly taken to Harlem Hospital for medical treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.
