Green Day to Kick Off Super Bowl LX Opening Ceremony

Green Day, the iconic Bay Area band, has been announced as the headliner for the opening ceremony of Super Bowl LX. The highly anticipated event will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on February 8, 2026. The band will kick off the ceremony by performing their most iconic rock anthems and ushering in generations of Super Bowl MVPs onto the field.

Lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong expressed his excitement about the opportunity, stating, “We are super hyped to open Super Bowl 60 right in our backyard! We are honored to welcome the MVPs who’ve shaped the game and open the night for fans all over the world. Let’s have fun! Let’s get loud!”

In addition to Green Day’s performance, the pregame entertainment lineup will feature Charlie Puth singing the national anthem, Brandi Carlile performing “America the Beautiful,” and Coco Jones delivering “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” The lineup promises to create a memorable and celebratory atmosphere for fans both in the stadium and around the world.
