In a video posted on Saturday, August 16, Brown can be seen in a bathroom, wrapping two elastic hair ties around her lilac phone case and tucking a tube of her Florence by Mills lip gloss underneath. Brown, who launched her beauty brand Florence by Mills in 2019, followed in the footsteps of Hailey Bieber, who is the founder of Rhode Skin, known for its branded iPhone case with a built-in lip gloss holder.

Hailey’s husband, Justin Bieber, even referenced the smartphone innovation in his latest song “Go Baby.” In the song, Justin sings about Hailey being iconic and having an iPhone case with lip gloss on it. Hailey herself was impressed by Brown’s video, commenting with heart emojis and showing her support.

Hailey launched Rhode in 2022 and sold it to e.l.f. Beauty in May for a staggering $1 billion. Speaking to The Business of Fashion in June, Hailey expressed her attachment to Rhode, stating that she knew e.l.f. Beauty was the right fit for her brand from the beginning. She will continue to work with Rhode as Chief Creative Officer and Head of Innovation, as well as providing strategic advice to e.l.f. as a whole.
