‘Heated Rivalry’ Star Set as ‘SNL’ Host
Connor Storrie to Host “Saturday Night Live” with Mumford & Sons as Musical Guests
NBC’s iconic sketch comedy show, “Saturday Night Live,” has revealed its upcoming host and musical guest for the episode airing on Feb. 28. Connor Storrie is set to make his debut as host, accompanied by the popular folk-rock band Mumford & Sons.
This announcement is part of a trend this season where “SNL” has been featuring a mix of fresh faces as hosts, contemporary musical acts, and a revamped cast following recent changes within the show.
Storrie’s appearance coincides with the hype surrounding “Heated Rivalry,” while Mumford & Sons will be promoting their new album, “Prizefighter,” scheduled for release on Feb. 20.
The upcoming episode follows a January lineup that included first-time hosts Finn Wolfhard, Teyana Taylor, and Alexander Skarsgård, along with musical guests A$AP Rocky, Geese, and Cardi B. This post-holiday stretch set the stage for the remainder of the season.
This season of “SNL” has seen significant changes both on and off camera. Bowen Yang bid farewell to the show after seven seasons, marking the end of an era for one of the show’s breakout stars. Additionally, there have been cast shakeups with the departure of Heidi Gardner and Ego Nwodim, and the addition of new members like Jeremy Culhane, Veronika Slowikowska, and Ben Marshall.
As “Saturday Night Live” navigates its 51st season, it continues to blend its classic appeal with fresh voices under the guidance of creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels.
Don’t miss the upcoming episode of “SNL” featuring Connor Storrie and Mumford & Sons, airing at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Stay tuned for more updates and surprises from the legendary late-night show.
