The city’s focus on outdoor recreation and work-life balance is highlighted by a median commute time of just 16 minutes, with a significant portion of the population working remotely.
Following Bend, Richmond, Virginia, and Seattle, Washington, secured the second and third spots for the best overall job markets, showcasing their appeal to job seekers.
Cities with the Highest Percentage of Health Care Coverage
For workers prioritizing health care coverage, Santa Clara, California, stands out with over 88% of its residents having private health insurance plans through their employers. Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Bellevue, Washington, closely follow with approximately 87% of residents enjoying employer-provided health coverage.
Cities with the Shortest Commutes
Short commute times and a high percentage of remote workers contribute significantly to a favorable job market ranking. Wichita Falls, Texas, boasts a median commute time of around 14 minutes, making it one of the cities with the shortest commutes in the country. Similarly, Abilene, Texas, and Topeka, Kansas, offer quick transit times for their workers, enhancing work-life balance.
When it comes to remote work opportunities, Frisco, Texas, Berkeley, California, and Charlotte, North Carolina, lead the way with a notable percentage of workers conducting their jobs remotely, showcasing a commitment to flexible work arrangements.
