House Republican Slammed Over ‘Really Ugly’ Rhetoric About Left After Kirk Killing

Rep. Bob Onder (R-Mo.) has come under fire for his controversial remarks following the tragic killing of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk. Onder, along with other conservatives, has been quick to blame left-leaning Americans for Kirk’s death, despite limited information on the shooter and their motives.

“Everything has changed, if we didn’t know it already there is no longer any middle ground. Some on the American left are undoubtedly well-meaning people but their ideology is pure evil,” said Onder during his speech on the House floor.

“They hate the good, the truth, and the beautiful and embrace the evil, the false, and the ugly. And they, literally, will kill those with whom they disagree just as their predecessors, leftists [Karl] Marx, [Joseph] Stalin, [Vladimir] Lenin, Pol Pot, and Fidel Castro did.”

Following the tragic incident, President Donald Trump also took aim at the “radical left” during an address in the Oval Office, accusing those who labeled Kirk as a Nazi of being “directly responsible for the terrorism that we’re seeing in our country today.”

Social media users on X have been quick to criticize Onder for his inflammatory rhetoric, with some, like George Conway, pointing out that the congressman’s remarks are “pure projection.”
