Humpty Dumpty Got Dumped Off A Wall And Now The Cops Are Involved

CAPE MAY, N.J. (AP) — A whimsical statue of Humpty Dumpty was the victim of a daring heist at a miniature golf course in Cape May, New Jersey. The colorful nursery rhyme icon was forcefully removed from its perch and unceremoniously dumped down the street.

Local authorities are on the lookout for two individuals caught on video surveillance making off with the beloved figure. The footage shows one of the suspects scaling a fence, toppling the statue, and absconding with it in the dead of night.

Despite the efforts of all the king’s horses and all the king’s men, Humpty Dumpty was left shattered and abandoned several properties away from where it once stood tall.

The missing statue, which sported a cheerful expression with a big white head, red cheeks, and a dapper outfit, has left a void in the hearts of locals who frequented Ocean Putt Golf.

Authorities are urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of the culprits to come forward and help solve the case. Surveillance footage of the suspects can be viewed on the Cape May Police Department’s Facebook page.
