Hundreds defiantly flock to Central Park for Israel hostage rally after Colorado terror attack

Hundreds of individuals gathered in Central Park on Sunday to show their support for the hostages in Gaza and to honor the memory of two Americans who were tragically killed by Hamas. Despite the recent terror attack in Colorado targeting supporters of the hostages, the Central Park rally saw a larger turnout than usual.
Former hostage, Raz Ben Ami, shared her experience during the park rally, expressing her gratitude for the overwhelming support shown by the community. She mentioned feeling fearful after the Boulder attack, but was reassured by the solidarity of the attendees.
Recalling the terrifying events of the Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attack in Gaza, Ami described the moment Hamas gunmen dragged her out of bed in her pajamas. She admitted that even if her destroyed home were to be rebuilt, she would be too scared to return.
Ami also praised the efforts of the Trump administration in securing the release of her husband after nearly 500 days in captivity, urging continued support for those still held by Palestinian terrorists.
Attendees at the rally emphasized the importance of standing together in the face of adversity, particularly in response to the recent acts of violence against supporters of the hostages. They emphasized the need to show resilience and unity in the fight against hatred and injustice.
Event organizer, Eilon Baer, highlighted the ongoing security concerns faced by the Jewish community, especially in light of the recent antisemitic attacks. The rally also served as a memorial for Judi Weinstein and Gad Haggai, two Israeli-Americans whose bodies were recovered from Gaza after being killed in the initial attack.
Overall, the Central Park rally symbolized a powerful display of solidarity, remembrance, and hope for a better future. Participants expressed their determination to continue advocating for the release of the hostages and standing up against acts of violence and discrimination.
