Hyun Bin Crime Thriller ‘Made in Korea’ Sets Disney+ Debut

Exciting news for fans of Korean drama as Hyun Bin and Jung Woo-sung are set to go head-to-head in the new series "Made in Korea." This 1970s crime noir is set to premiere on Disney+ on December 24 with a two-episode debut.

Hyun Bin, known for his roles in "Crash Landing on You" and "Confidential Assignment," takes on the role of Baek Kitae, a KCIA agent with a double life. By day, he works for the government, but by night, he runs an illegal operation to protect his brother and gain power for the agency.

Jung Woo-sung, famous for his performances in "Tell Me That You Love Me" and "12.12: The Day," plays Jang Geonyoung, a prosecutor determined to bring down Kitae. Woo Dohwan joins the cast as Kitae’s brother, Baek Kihyun.

The series, written by Park Eunkyo and Park Joonseok, is directed by Woo Minho and produced by Hive Media Corp. Following the premiere, two more episodes will be released on December 31, with the final two episodes airing weekly until January 14. The show has already been renewed for a second season.

"Made in Korea" is part of Disney+’s growing collection of Korean dramas, including "Unmasked," "Nine Puzzles," "Hyper Knife," "Low Life," "The Murky Stream," and "Tempest." The streaming platform has more Korean series planned for 2026, such as "Gold Land" starring Park Boyoung, "Perfect Crown" with IU and Byeon Wooseok, and the return of "A Shop for Killers" for a second season featuring Lee Dongwook and Kim Hyejun.
