‘I’m Fine!’: CNN’s Jake Tapper Awkwardly Caught On Hot Mic Amid Trump-Putin Summit

CNN anchor Jake Tapper was visibly frustrated while unknowingly on a hot mic during the network’s live coverage of President Donald Trump’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

Following a commercial break, Tapper, who typically hosts “The Lead” from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. EST, was momentarily cut off before Anderson Cooper tried to hand it back to him in Anchorage.

“I’m good, just give me back my show,” Tapper expressed his irritation after a brief silence post-transition.

“Your show’s back!” Cooper responded with a slight smile.

“Alright, let’s continue…” Tapper began, bringing in Senator Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) for a live interview.

Shortly after, Schiff mentioned to Tapper that he couldn’t hear him as the host tried to delve into the topic of Ukraine’s involvement in the discussions.

“We’re experiencing some communication issues today, my apologies for that. If anyone can hear me, let’s switch back to New York,” Tapper stated before being interrupted by Cooper, who acknowledged the technical difficulties.

Cooper later redirected the spotlight to Tapper following the initial glitches.
