In-N-Out removes ’67’ from its ordering system after viral ‘6-7’ meme
In-N-Out Burger decided to eliminate the number 67 from its ordering system due to the widespread “6-7” meme causing disruptions in its stores, as per reports.
The popular burger chain on the West Coast retired the number 67 from its orders after enthusiastic internet-savvy teenagers consistently waited for that number to be called, a staff member at a Los Angeles location confirmed to People.
A video circulating on social media also captured an In-N-Out employee informing a customer about the removal of the order number to prevent pranksters from causing trouble.
“We have taken 67 out of our system, so whenever we’re taking orders, it goes from 66 to 68,” explained the worker. “Because of people like you.”
IN-N-Out did not respond immediately to The Post’s request for a comment.
The viral phrase originates from the song “Doot Doot (6 7)” by rapper Skrilla, featuring the repeated lyric “six-seven.”
It is also linked to NBA star LaMelo Ball’s 6-foot-7 frame, but mainly used by young individuals to tease adults who struggle to grasp the meaning behind the phrase.

The “6-7” meme has been recognized as Dictionary.com’s 2025 Word of the Year, acknowledging its unexpected popularity on social media and its usage among school-aged children.
Despite the recognition, the phrase holds no real significance.
Some educators have had to prohibit the use of the phrase in their classrooms as students persistently chant “Six-seven! Six-seven!”
