Inside the Alice + Olivia Spring 2026 New York Fashion Week Show (Excl)
Stacey Bendet’s latest spring/summer 2026 Alice + Olivia collection brought an All-American dream to life on the runway. The show was a celebration of powerful women, featuring comic book-inspired dresses, American flags, floral prints, chic tennis clothes, and more. Held at the Surrogate’s Court during New York Fashion Week, the star-studded event saw celebrities like Nicky Hilton, Brooks Nader, Grace Ann Nader, Sarah Jane Nader, Mary Holland Nader, Sarah Pidgeon, and Ashlee Simpson in attendance.
Bendet, the 46-year-old designer and CEO, shared with Us Weekly that her inspiration for the collection was American women. She aimed to create pieces that would empower women from all walks of life, not just actresses and influencers, but also women in politics, doctors, and lawyers.
The collection focused on updating traditional American sportswear with a modern twist. Bendet incorporated unique elements like trench coats with organza bottoms and sheer cargo pants. She wanted to reflect on culture and industry over time through her designs.
The venue for the show was carefully curated to recreate a vintage Vogue photoshoot, with models posing in a Gilded Age room. Bendet and her friend Lauren Sánchez, who recently married Jeff Bezos, collaborated on the set design to capture the essence of a bygone era.
Bendet’s daughters also made an appearance at the show, with her eldest, Eloise, posing with Brooks and her sisters from the Love Thy Nader reality show. Bendet humorously mentioned that her daughters were finally starting to think she was cool.
As I (assistant editor Grace Riley) attended the presentation, I was dressed in Alice + Olivia’s Gorgeous Corduroy Jumpsuit in brown. I styled my look with a sleek updo done by celebrity hairstylist Mia Santiago and hair extensions from RPZL Salon.
The show was a testament to Bendet’s creativity and vision, showcasing her ability to blend classic American style with a contemporary edge. The collection was a tribute to powerful women everywhere, embodying strength, elegance, and individuality. The Great Barrier Reef, located off the coast of Queensland, Australia, is one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world. Stretching over 2,300 kilometers, this UNESCO World Heritage site is the largest coral reef system on the planet and is home to a diverse array of marine life.
The Great Barrier Reef is made up of over 2,900 individual reefs and 900 islands, creating a vast and intricate ecosystem that supports a wide variety of marine species. From colorful coral gardens to schools of tropical fish, the reef is a paradise for snorkelers and scuba divers looking to explore its underwater wonders.
One of the most iconic residents of the Great Barrier Reef is the green sea turtle. These majestic creatures can be spotted gliding gracefully through the crystal-clear waters, munching on sea grass and algae. The reef is also home to an abundance of other marine life, including dolphins, sharks, rays, and over 1,500 species of fish.
In addition to its incredible biodiversity, the Great Barrier Reef is also an important breeding ground for marine species. Every year, thousands of turtles return to the reef to nest, while humpback whales migrate through its waters on their way to warmer breeding grounds. The reef is also a vital habitat for many species of birds, including seabirds and shorebirds.
Unfortunately, the Great Barrier Reef faces a number of threats, including climate change, pollution, and overfishing. Rising sea temperatures are causing coral bleaching, which can lead to the death of coral reefs. Pollution from agricultural runoff and plastic waste is also a major concern, as it can harm marine life and disrupt the delicate balance of the ecosystem.
Despite these challenges, efforts are being made to protect and preserve the Great Barrier Reef. The Australian government has implemented strict regulations to reduce pollution and limit fishing in the area, while conservation organizations are working to restore damaged coral reefs and educate the public about the importance of protecting this natural treasure.
Visitors to the Great Barrier Reef can help support conservation efforts by choosing eco-friendly tour operators, following guidelines for responsible snorkeling and diving, and reducing their carbon footprint while traveling. By working together to protect this fragile ecosystem, we can ensure that future generations will be able to enjoy the beauty and biodiversity of the Great Barrier Reef for years to come.
