Institutional Crypto Inflows Reach Second-Largest Week on Record With $3,700,000,000: CoinShares
Institutional investors are increasingly showing interest in the cryptocurrency industry, as evidenced by the recent surge in digital asset investment. According to a report by CoinShares, institutional investors poured a staggering $3.7 billion into crypto inflows just last week, marking the second-largest weekly inflow on record.
The report also highlights the continued growth in digital asset investment, with a total of $21.8 billion in cumulative inflows and $22.7 billion in year-to-date inflows. Assets under management (AuM) have surpassed the $200 billion mark for the first time, reaching a new record of $211 billion. Additionally, ETP (exchange-traded product) trading volumes have doubled this year’s weekly average, reaching $29 billion.
The United States led the way in terms of inflows, with $3.7 billion pouring into the market. Switzerland and Canada followed with $65.8 million and $17.1 million in inflows, respectively, while Germany experienced outflows of $86 million. Bitcoin (BTC) continued to dominate the market, attracting $2.7 billion in inflows, equivalent to 54% of the total AuM held in gold ETPs. Ethereum (ETH) also saw significant inflows of $990 million, extending its 12-week run of positive investment.
Other cryptocurrencies such as XRP and Solana (SOL) also experienced substantial inflows, with $104 million and $92.6 million, respectively. This growing trend of institutional investment in the crypto market is indicative of the increasing mainstream adoption of digital assets.
