Invincible Video Game Adds Cecil (Gaming News Roundup)

Skybound Entertainment has unveiled new updates about their upcoming video game “Invincible VS,” which includes the addition of Cecil Stedman, a beloved character from Robert Kirkman’s comics and the “Invincible” TV series on Amazon, to the roster of fighters in the 3v3 tag fighting game.

The game now boasts a total of eight confirmed characters, including Mark Grayson (Invincible), Atom Eve, Bulletproof, Thula, Rex Splode, Battle Beast, Omni-Man, and the newest addition, Cecil Stedman.

Cecil Stedman, known for his strategic mind and arsenal of specialized weapons, enters the fray with plasma pistols, projectile launchers, and grenades to keep his opponents at bay. His ranged combat style is complemented by tactical prowess, allowing him to outmaneuver his enemies. Additionally, Cecil can summon a limitless supply of Reanimen for backup and unleash The Hammer, a devastating orbital laser, on the battlefield.

The game developers and Robert Kirkman also shared details about the game’s story mode, which promises to play out like an extended episode of the TV series, featuring all announced playable characters and teasing the introduction of a brand-new character exclusive to the game.

Kirkman expressed his excitement for the game, highlighting the team’s dedication to staying true to the source material and impressing him with their attention to detail and fan service.

“Invincible VS” is scheduled to launch in 2026 on Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Fans can catch a glimpse of the action in the new trailer released for the game.

In other gaming news, Netflix has announced a lineup of party games to be played on TV screens with mobile devices as controllers, set to debut this holiday season. Titles like “LEGO Party!,” “Boggle Party,” and “Pictionary: Game Night” aim to bring a new level of interactive entertainment to Netflix subscribers.
