Isla Fisher, Sacha Baron Cohen’s Relationship Timeline

The year 2016 marked a significant collaboration between Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen as they worked together on their first movie, The Brothers Grimsby.

Reflecting on their experience, Fisher shared, “He’s such a perfectionist. He’ll do everything and anything to get the best joke possible into the movie, so it was definitely inspirational. He’s so funny on set and it was a lot of fun.”

However, the movie stirred controversy in March 2024 when Cohen’s co-star Rebel Wilson accused him of threatening her. Wilson, who had hinted at revelations in her upcoming memoir Rebel Rising, claimed that a former co-star was attempting to block her from releasing the book due to content about her negative experience on set.

In a bold move, Wilson identified Cohen as the individual in question, stating on her Instagram Story, “I will not be bullied or silenced with high-priced lawyers or PR crisis managers. The ‘asshole’ that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is Sacha Baron Cohen.”

In response to these allegations, a representative for Cohen refuted Wilson’s claims by stating, “While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during, and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.”
