Jennifer Beals, Roshan Sethi to Receive Yale in Hollywood Fest Honors
Yale in Hollywood’s sixth annual virtual film festival is set to showcase honorees Jennifer Beals and Roshan Sethi from December 4-6, 2025. Beals will be receiving the Career Achievement Award, while Sethi will be presented with the Queer Voice Award during the Yale in Hollywood Fest 2025 Awards Livestream on December 6.
The Career Achievement Award, previously given to C.S. Lee and Justin Noble, recognizes Beals’ outstanding contributions to the industry. Beals, known for her role in “The L Word: Generation Q,” has been a prominent figure in LGBTQ+ advocacy and is currently involved in producing “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” for Freeform.
On the other hand, Sethi, a writer, director, and practicing oncologist, is being honored with the Queer Voice Award for his work in co-creating the Fox medical drama “The Resident” and directing award-winning films like “7 Days” and “A Nice Indian Boy.”
The festival lineup will include short films and livestream events, all available for free streaming worldwide on yihfest.com from December 4 through December 7. VEEEU and Story-boards.ai will be awarding prizes to competition winners selected by the festival jury.
Yale in Hollywood Fest focuses on films featuring Yale affiliates in key creative roles and is led by founder Kevin Winston, with Melissa Dawn Johnson and Quentin Lee as the festival’s founding programmer and director. Notable past honorees of the festival include Lee Isaac Chung, Robinne Lee, Justin Noble, Cory Finley, Kahlil Green, and C.S. Lee.
The festival promises to be a celebration of talent and diversity in the film industry, honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to the world of entertainment.
