Ormax Media’s annual audience measurement report is based on weekly primary research conducted across India and various languages, focusing on individuals who watched properties for at least 30 minutes. The methodology counts actual viewers rather than account users, includes all language versions and dubbed feeds, but focuses solely on the Indian market, excluding overseas viewership. As some December 2025 launches are still being tracked, the report provides projected complete-run estimates.

Moving forward, Ormax Media will be launching Ormax StreamView in early 2026, a new unified framework that will track long-form content across various categories without distinguishing between original and non-original content. This shift reflects the evolving audience consumption patterns on streaming platforms, marking a significant step in Ormax Media’s commitment to adapting its research frameworks to align with changing trends.

The rankings of the top 50 streaming originals in India for 2025 highlight the diverse range of content that captured the audience’s attention across different platforms, genres, and languages.
