Justin Bieber made an incredible fortune as the world’s biggest pop star, estimated between $500 million and $1 billion. However, he faced financial difficulties that led him to sell his music catalog for $200 million.
A new documentary titled “TMZ Investigates: What Happened to Justin Bieber,” available on Hulu, delves into Justin’s financial struggles.
Sources close to Justin revealed that he was facing a potential “financial collapse” in 2022, prompting him to sell the rights to his music catalog in December of that year.
Justin’s manager, Scooter Braun, advised him against selling his catalog so early in his career, suggesting he wait until January 2023 for tax benefits. However, Justin proceeded with the sale in December.
While many artists have sold their music catalogs, Justin stands out as the youngest to make such a decision, with financial struggles playing a significant role in his choice.
The documentary also explores Justin’s mental health, marriage, financial challenges, involvement in his church, and his career trajectory.
“TMZ Presents: What Happened to Justin Bieber?” can now be streamed on Hulu for more insights into Justin’s journey.
