Kaitlan Collins Addresses Trump’s ‘Smile’ Attack With A Powerful Point
CNN’s Kaitlan Collins responded to Donald Trump’s recent attack on her during a press briefing. Trump became visibly agitated after Collins questioned him about justice for the victims of Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender. Despite Trump suggesting the country should move on from the Epstein controversy, Collins stood her ground.
During the briefing, Trump referred to Collins as “the worst reporter” and criticized her network. He also claimed he had never seen her smile, insinuating that she was being dishonest. Collins later explained on her show, “The Source,” that the focus of her question was on the survivors of Epstein and their pursuit of justice and accountability.
Collins invited Epstein survivor Annie Farmer onto the show, who commended Collins for her persistence in questioning Trump and his administration about the delayed release of documents related to Epstein. Farmer expressed her gratitude for Collins’ dedication to holding the administration accountable, despite Trump’s attempts to brush off the issue.
“I don’t think it’s something to smile about, and I thought you handled it very appropriately,” Farmer remarked. “I’m not surprised that Trump is ready to move on, but we are certainly not, especially after we saw how poorly this last release of documents was handled.”
