Kamala Harris reveals what Biden told her just before crucial debate with Trump that left her ‘angry’

Former Vice President Kamala Harris Reveals Tensions with President Joe Biden in New Book

Former Vice President Kamala Harris has opened up about a tense moment with then-President Joe Biden before a crucial debate with Donald Trump in her upcoming book, “107 Days.”

According to an excerpt from the book published in The Guardian, Biden called Harris before the debate to wish her luck but ended up scolding her. He mentioned that some power brokers in Philly were not supporting her due to negative comments she had allegedly made about him.

Feeling confused and upset, Harris described Biden’s call as distracting and self-centered, focusing more on his past debate performances rather than offering support before her crucial moment on the debate stage.

Her husband, Doug Emhoff, advised her to let go of the incident and focus on the debate. Despite avoiding criticism of Biden during her campaign, Harris used her book to highlight the tensions between them as she stepped into his role as the Democratic presidential nominee.

In another section of the book, Harris questioned the decision-making process leading up to the 2024 election cycle, describing it as reckless rather than graceful.

Harris also revealed that Pete Buttigieg was her first choice as a running mate, not Tim Walz, but she considered it a risk given the campaign’s challenges in terms of acceptance and diversity.

The release of “107 Days” has sparked discussions about the dynamics within the Democratic party and the 2024 election cycle, shedding light on the behind-the-scenes tensions and decision-making processes.
