Kang Tae Oh, Kim Se Jeong, Lee Jae Wook K-Dramas Set for Rakuten Viki

Rakuten Viki is enhancing its original content lineup by introducing two new K-drama series featuring top stars, as announced by the streaming platform.

One of the new series, “Moon River,” stars Kang Tae Oh and Kim Se Jeong and is set in the Joseon era. The storyline revolves around Crown Prince Lee Gang seeking revenge after his wife is unjustly executed. His path crosses with a traveling merchant, Park Dal I, who bears a striking resemblance to his deceased wife, leading to a mysterious connection that results in body swapping and further complications.

Another upcoming series, “Last Summer,” focuses on twins Baek Do Ha and Baek Do Yeong, played by Lee Jae Wook. The siblings, who grew up on different continents due to their parents’ divorce, reunite for only three weeks each summer. A tragic event in their adult lives forces Do Ha to reveal a painful truth to their childhood friend, Song Ha Gyeong.

Additionally, the thriller “Dear X,” starring Kim You Jung and Kim Young Dae, will exclusively stream on Viki in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe. The series follows actor Baek Ah Jin, who maintains a glamorous public image while hiding a traumatic past that drives her to manipulate others for revenge. Her confidant, Yoon Joon Seo, begins to question his loyalty to her as he uncovers the extent of her dangerous schemes.

“Moon River” is set to premiere on Oct. 31, followed by “Last Summer” on Nov. 1 and “Dear X” on Nov. 6, adding to Viki’s growing collection of exclusive content for its 100 million registered users. Recent additions include the critically acclaimed “My Youth” and the web comic-based series “My Girlfriend is the Man!”
