Kansas City radio host rips Patrick Mahomes offseason dad bod
Patrick Mahomes, the star quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, is facing criticism for his physique despite his impressive football achievements. Kevin Kietzman, a radio and podcast host, recently called out Mahomes for his “dad bod” after photos of him on a Fourth of July yacht trip went viral.
Kietzman described Mahomes’ appearance as “fat” and went on to say that it was embarrassing for a high-profile athlete like Mahomes to let himself go in such a manner. This criticism comes on the heels of Mahomes’ lackluster performance in Super Bowl LIX, where he threw two interceptions in a blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Despite his recent struggles, Mahomes has had a stellar career in the NFL, winning three Super Bowl rings, two MVP awards, and accumulating over 32,000 passing yards. While his physique may not be as toned as some would like, it has not hindered his success on the field.
This is not the first time Mahomes’ body has been a topic of discussion. In 2024, he responded to comments about his “dad bod” after a victory speech by joking about it on social media. His trainer, Bobby Stroupe, also defended him against critics, emphasizing that performance on the field is what truly matters.
As Mahomes prepares for his ninth season in the NFL, it remains to be seen how he will respond to the criticism and continue to excel in his career. Despite the noise surrounding his physique, his talent and achievements speak volumes about his abilities as a quarterback.
