Kansas City Reporter Slams ‘Nasty Swifties’ After Criticizing Travis Kelce
Kansas City Sports Talk Radio Host Faces Backlash from Taylor Swift Fans Over Comments on Travis Kelce
A Kansas City sports talk radio host found himself in hot water with Taylor Swift fans after making comments about her fiancé, Travis Kelce. Pete Mundo, host of KCMO’s Mundo in the Morning, received backlash from fans after criticizing Kelce’s post-game behavior of not speaking to reporters.
Mundo’s tweet questioning whether Kelce would talk to the media after a loss sparked outrage among Chiefs Kingdom supporters. Many fans defended Kelce, pointing out that he had limited playing time and did not have a significant impact on the game against the Tennessee Titans, which the Chiefs lost 26-9.
Despite the loss, Kelce did not speak to reporters after the game. This is not the first time Kelce has faced criticism for avoiding media interviews, as he also chose not to speak to the press after a previous game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
ESPN’s Chris Russo weighed in on Kelce’s behavior, expressing disappointment in his lack of communication with the media. Russo emphasized the importance of players acknowledging the efforts of reporters who cover the team throughout the season.
With the Chiefs out of playoff contention for the first time in several years, Kelce’s future in the NFL remains uncertain. As the team prepares for their remaining games, including a matchup against the Denver Broncos on Christmas Day, Kelce will have to decide whether to retire or return for another season.
