In a downtown LA courtroom, West’s attorney, Andrew Cherkasky, disclosed that the Grammy winner wanted the seaside retreat to be stripped of all modern amenities, including electricity, toilets, fireplaces, and plumbing. Cherkasky highlighted that West even wrote a song titled “Off The Grid” on an album dedicated to his late mother, underscoring his vision for the property.
