Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell Star in ‘Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein’

Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell, the dynamic duo from the beloved Nickelodeon sitcom “Kenan & Kel,” are joining forces once again for an exciting new project. The pair will star in and produce a horror comedy film titled “Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein.” The announcement was made during the Amazon sports talk show “Good Sports,” where Thompson usually co-hosts with Kevin Hart, but Mitchell was filling in as a guest host on this occasion.

In this upcoming film, Thompson and Mitchell will play two delivery drivers whose routine drop-off takes a terrifying turn when they stumble upon a creepy castle and accidentally awaken Frankenstein’s monster. What was supposed to be an ordinary night turns into a fight for survival as they navigate through the chaos that ensues.

This collaboration is not the first time that Thompson and Mitchell have delved into the realm of horror comedy together. They previously starred in the Nickelodeon made-for-TV movie “Two Heads Are Better Than None,” which served as the finale movie for their hit sitcom “Kenan & Kel.”

Both actors expressed their excitement for this new project, with Thompson stating, “Kel and I have always loved finding new ways to work together, and this project felt like the perfect mix of nostalgia, comedy, and something completely unexpected.” Mitchell added, “Coming back together always feels natural, and this lets us tap into everything people love about our dynamic while trying something totally new. The film will be written by Jonah Feingold, known for his work on “At Midnight” and “31 Candles.” Thompson and John Ryan Jr.’s Artists for Artists will co-produce the film with Range Media Partners. The project is being described as a blend of classic comedy duos like Abbott and Costello and Pryor and Wilder, with a modern twist reminiscent of “Shaun of the Dead” meets “Scooby-Doo.”

Fans of Kenan and Kel can look forward to seeing this iconic duo back on screen together, bringing their unique brand of humor and chemistry to a fresh and exciting project. With production set to begin this summer, “Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein” promises to be a thrilling and entertaining ride for audiences of all ages.
