Knucklehead wanted by police posts ‘hide-and-seek’ taunt on social media, leading cops right to him

Texas Man Arrested After Taunting Police on Facebook

A Texas man learned the hard way that taunting the police on social media can have real consequences. Fritz Eugene Case, 54, was arrested last week on a warrant after he bragged on Facebook about arrest warrants being like “the adult version of hide-and-seek.”

The arrest was made by the Groesbeck Police Department and the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office, following a raid on Case’s home in Mart, Texas, just east of Waco. The raid led to the discovery of more evidence, resulting in additional warrants being issued.

Case, who now faces charges of fraud and theft, is currently being held at the McLennan County Jail on a $12,000 bond. This serves as a stark reminder that actions have consequences, even in the age of social media.

It seems that Case’s online bravado didn’t end with his taunts to law enforcement. In a separate post on July 7, he wrote, “Karma is always watching. Just like Santa Claus… only bitchier.” It appears that karma caught up with him sooner than he expected.

This incident serves as a cautionary tale for those who think they can outsmart the law or make light of legal matters on social media. In the end, the long arm of the law will always catch up with those who try to evade it.
